This project explored virtual reality as a design tool, allowing the Reed family to visualize their home and create informed design decisions by placing them within a fully virtual recreation of their home. Through this project I was able to work with the client to discuss design options, identify critical detail points, and allow them to modify their design choices with confidence. Through the virtual reality technology, we were able to experience the scale of the 15 foot ceilings thoughout the kitchen and living areas, determine the size and spacing of the floor-to-ceiling glazing and provide quick iterations on the look of their staple piece fireplace.
